Lesson Description

Our team of fully qualified Piano Specialists provides one to one tuition for students, ranging from beginners to Grade 8 level and beyond.  Students are drawn from all ages and backgrounds, with many parents choosing to take piano lessons themselves! Beginners are taught using age-appropriate books and material ensuring that all students are able to fully enjoy their lessons and to progress at a speed right for them. They will be taught how to maintain the correct hand position, how to read music and how to translate reading music to playing notes on the piano. As students progress, they will be taught scales and arpeggios, sight reading, listening skills and to play a wide range of music which will be tailored to their own listening preferences. Those taking ABRSM exams will additionally prepare set pieces for their exams.
 
Once a student reaches Grade 1 or above, we advise them to consider taking music theory lessons as this will greatly enhance their understanding of music.
